Another attempt to censor the internet has emerged, and we need to stop it. This includes using our government names to sign in on any webpage. This is not only unconstitutional (an attack on Freedom of Speech), but also a Trojan horse attack by politicians afraid of the free speech the internet has.

Basically a bill demanding that you use your government name on any website (like here for example) just to even use it. To me, this means anyone living in a domestic abuse relationship (kids with bad parents or partners in a bad marriage) are now more vulnerable when it comes to speaking out against said party. That's why I'm against it.
I grew up in the 90s and 2000s. Little did I know was something called COPPA (Children's Privacy Protection Act of 1998) back when I was kid in the 90s then. I didn't develop an affinity to use the Internet until I was almost 14 in 2004. Such websites over time required users to be 13 years of age or older to be registered or they would be banned if they were underage, and it turns out bad parenting is to blame for underage users, and that I didn't start joining social media platforms until when I was nearing adulthood.
The bill whether or not people should support or oppose is sponsored by senators on both sides of the aisle. The real issue is people getting spied on and stuff, and that too much government influence is a problem instead of a solution. Since the US Senate's party control is razor thin, I'm sure this bill isn't going to pass, and a bipartisan bill requires 60 YES votes at the minimum in order to pass. And people on these public sites should keep their names and stuff secret to strangers.
