I just don't like the way that company is doing things. Not just painting over cool former IC, DM&IR, EJ&E ect.. equipment. But the way they treat their customers and staff. Abandon lines and let them go to shit, scrap locomotives that can still run for another 15 years or more... The list goes on. Bunch of french yo yo's up in head office.

I had a family member who just died few weeks ago worked on that railway. So your really hurting my feelings.

They good on most things, but not keeping their engines running more than 15 years. They just retire them TOO EARLY!!!
CSX are the worst ones in some states. Not CN. CN needs more board members from Ontario, not from Quebéc.

It's not CN, it's some of the board members that are making CN bad.
CN SHOULD NEVER ABANDON LINES THAT COVERS FROM PROVIDENCE TO PROVIDENCE!! That's something you'd expect from CSX, but not CN!!!

I have no clue why they did. Even as easlry as 8 years ago. CN was doing fine! I rember toronto had alots of tracks. And now the tracks that I once saw trains pass by as a kid are now gone!

Yeah two large regional companies. Im not sure about now, but there was talk about CN taking over all of BNSF mainly for the west coast connection for intermodal. =/

CSX killed alot of old Railroad lines that had better care of there fleets then CSX. Same story when CN took over BC rail in 2004

Why does this make CSX a bad road? Every railroad does it. The up bought the Southern Pacific. Norfolk Southern canceled out Norfolk and Western and Southern Railway. BNSF took up Burlington northern and the ATSF.

It happens all the time.

'Better care' is subjective, highly. May old railroads neglected their trackage and ran their power into the ground. Look at what the SP used to do to their ALCos.

Funny you bring up Conrail. They owned the line (CASO) down here before CN bought it, and now CN is abandoning this stretch of track through southern Ontario from Detroit to Buffalo.

Cn also abandon tracks from Barrie Orillia in 1996.

My great-uncle used to work on the railway and people say. CN sucks! That really hurts my dad feelings.

You know what! Your really hurting my feelings. I am a huge CN fan and I had a family member who worked on that railway that just died few weeks ago.

Lets put it this way, i still enjoy seeing CN equipment like the SD40-2w's and stuff like that... in a railfan sort of way its all good. But they guy who makes all the decisions for the company is doing it wrong. Also im sorry for your family member loss.
