Last year I got around to watching all 12 episodes of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and boy did it get pretty dark (still yet to watch Rebellion and that new movie that's coming out soon). Shortly afterwards me and a friend talked about the idea of Metal Sonic fighting one of the magical girls from the series for the heck of it, and chose Sayaka Miki for it. Given how inexperienced she was throughout the initial 12-episode run as well as her fate, and how Metal was designed specifically to counter the blue hedgehog he is a copy of, I think it's a safe bet that this is a losing battle for Sayaka. =P
I got the initial sketch done last year, but other projects and things got in the way of it, and only now about a year later that I finished this piece. It even went through a few changes, such as initially having Metal block Sayaka's blade with his wrist when having him grab and break it is much more effective at showing Metal's strength.
