That was quite the nice short and shallow little adventure <3
Definitely see what you mean though, I can imagine getting any deeper than the knees would be quite the problem, especially with an hour to walk back to the van, and a weather warning in force.
Almost hard to believe it when they say it sometimes, but I know from being up the hills near me that it can be sunny one moment, and within half an hour you can't see ten feet for cloud 😅
Can't wait to see all the trouble you manage to get into this summer ;)

Sadly, here, this very place will be at the bottom of a lake. It is great for camping though, and I do camp here often! I will be watching its lake levels as the season progresses. I was pleased to see that the water levels have remained low, but I'm sure any day now they will put a hold on the dam release and allow the levels to start to climb. Unfortunately I won't be able to check back for at least a few weeks.
Aha, I see... so it's kinda a seasonal mucky spot when they let the lake levels drop over fall and winter? (Crikey, I bet it's anything but dry in the first couple of weeks after they lower the water then @_@)
It does look like quite the lovely place to camp near in fairness <3 perfect place to sit out and watch the stars one night.
