I figure that as a member of the royalty and as a person who gets kidnapped fairly often, some kind of weapon training would be natural for Jasiri.

When the Chamberlain compiled a list of all the things Jasiri had to do to become queen, she probably had to learn several weapons. Dunia's history is often filled with conflict and its queens sometimes were ladies of war. Even though King Leo was trying to establish a new peace, he had the Chamberlain make sure that from any historical or traditional angle, Jasiri was every inch a queen of Dunia.

She learned the sword, the spear, the bow and arrow, the chakram for some reason, and so on.

And after she became ruling queen, she kept almost none of that practice up.

Do you know how busy she is??

But she stuck with swordsmanship.

She's pretty good. She's not going to beat someone who has truly mastered the blade. She's so busy queening! But she can hold her own.

There's an elegance to blade work Jasiri can appreciate. She can also appreciate the catharsis of pinning a picture of someone she doesn't like to a training dummy so she can repeatedly stab it.

Unfortunately, being pretty good with a sword has never saved her from a kidnapping because she doesn't wear it in her everyday life.

Her swording outfit here is based on the Viera Spellblade from Final Fantasy. I always thought it was a sharp look. Check out this fanart of it.
