Running away from a stalker bot that's hellbent on capturing both Amy and Lily under Eggman's orders (Even though the robot is only after the chaos emerald the bird has), Amy still stubbornly finds time to date Sonic and bring him into Twinkle Park, despite that a literal stalker bot chasing her everywhere.
Within Twinkle Park (which has a solid soundtrack) and the beginning of Amy's first gameplay level task you with protecting yourself and Flicky from a robot sent from Eggman that stalks you everywhere you go and will occasionally approach you to attack. The robot can be attacked, but hitting him too much will generally piss him off where he becomes completely invulnerable to all of Amy's attacks which will then force the player to get away from him as fast as possible to another location which calms him down since he picks up both speed and power.
Now to the point of the picture, the damn Mirror Room, "aka Fakery Way."
Fakery Way has the most disturbing soundtrack throughtout SA1 because it gives the player as Amy the sense of a stalker always nearby. It's a very short soundtrack, but enough to give some amount of fear to most listeners. Challenge, listen to the whole soundtrack with headphones on until it cycles back....
I wanted to draw the entire gameplay scene of Amy escaping the stalker bot by creating a sense of fear for her and Lily as he pops out from various angles in the room and corridors, even placing traps and such for Amy. Amy can defend herself just fine, but the robot proves too much for her to handle regardless of her abilities as she and Lily still end up getting captured in the end. Thankfully Amy shows independence and bravery after the bird gets hurt by the robot and completely demolishes him in the final confrontation between them, marking her first step at the time towards not relying on Sonic to do everything for her or rescuing her all of the time. (HRRM HRRM! She still blatantly attacks Sonic in Sonic Heroes...)
Amy's gameplay throughout her very short story in Sonic Adventure is one I thought I'd never see in a Sonic game. You as Amy run away from a stalker in each level while protecting the blue Lily the Flicky bird who Amy promised to reunite her with her family. It was a surprise, but it was good because it taught Amy how to stand up for herself without always calling in Sonic for help.
