The colour set is really, really, really pretty; I love a lot of the smaller details here and there, too - spikes on the arms, the way the neck is built, taps of colour on the facial palps... <3

Thanks! Your Shay was a huge inspiration for this character. Mantids are some of my favorite animals, but I wasn't sure how they would look anthro until I found your profile. Your gallery is great for finding artists good at drawing arthropods, and the reason I'm also commissioning Tener.

I do know the fear of commissioning someone new not knowing how well they'll understand the anatomy - that's why I often just come back to the ones who have done it well. It can be a surprise though, as for instance in one case an artist who has never drawn a bug before () got all the details right on first try. To this day if I need extra references I often crop something from their work.
