Actually starting to show my characters story. This was a moment in the right direction - i confined myself too much in a strict ideas of what makes art beatiful (clean and pretty, no sketchiness, no muddied colors, no emotions) and it suffocated me because its not what I like. I didnt allow myself to draw my characters story because it was heavily autobiographical and emotional and my ideas were that its not allowed in art.
Art should be idealised version of reality, i thought. When art is an expression of how you see the world, and this includes making things ugly, nonsensical and dirty on purpose
