Elisabeth and Edwin/Edmund =
KobaltSteel
You all probably remember these two really old OCs of mine, Elizabeth Nickerdotter and Edwin Nickerson (maybe not this guy, actually, as I only drew him ONCE years ago), identical twin German-Jewish bookworms with vibrant blue hair that were paired with older depictions of Charles Sullivan and Lilly Bellerose. Well, much like how I updated both of those characters with new purposes, I wanted to do the same with these two characters as well, rewriting and redesigning the two of them to be more up to date with how I design and write characters, as I didn't feel that both of them matched how I handle characters these days; this is because I was thinking of incorporating the two of them into some game projects lately and wanted to prepare them for that purpose.
To begin, I gave them a name update, to make them more evidently German and Jewish in their names. Instead of Elizabeth Nickerdotter and Edwin Nickerson, their new names will instead be Elisabeth and Edmund Koenigsberg, abandoning the "dotter/son" naming scheme and giving them the same last name, as per modern naming conventions... plus, I feel it fits them a little better anyway. They also got redesigns of their looks and outfits, which is supposed to make them fit new occupational roles of being famous musicians and singers.
Both sport new hairstyles that are slightly more regular BUT still fancy, abandoning the whipped cream tuft that I adopted from the Zelda character of Nayru, and the idea will be that Elisabeth has a tall and dainty look while Edmund would be of a similar height, but with an imposing look. Elisabeth, being designed as a "famous classical singer," wears a blue jumpsuit with hoop earrings, pearl necklace, white opera gloves, heels, and holds a white purse (an expensive gift from a friend); Edmund, being more of a composer (more on that in a bit), wears a black suit with bow-tie, white gloves, and a large black overcoat.
As for their personalities and lives, they've received a considerable update. Both are still hyper intelligent individuals who are extremely close to each other, having the natural desire to care for and protect each other, but they're now very famous, dedicated, and skilled opera singers and musicians who have very vibrant careers; Elisabeth (soprano) has the more active and dynamic career of being a singer, being very skilled and able to handle very intense and demanding singing roles while keeping a silvery quality to her voice, while Edmund (baritone) has focused more on composing and writing his own music, but still engages in opera singing as well (Elisabeth has dabbled in composing as well)... just far less than Elisabeth. Both are super dedicated to music and singing, taking it VERY seriously with very rigorous and daily training and studying to improve their skills, abilities, and craft; while their efforts have made them famous in the opera world, with Elisabeth being the more famous twin due to her taking up very eye-catching roles, Edmund has been frustrated with his lack of success in composing, struggling to get any attention for his efforts.
In relation to their individual personalities, they have been rewritten to be more polar opposite twins, with more divergent personalities. Elisabeth is a very shy, quiet, reserved, and soft-spoken individual who doesn't like talking very much, both because she's nervous around people in a personal setting and because she's very scared of losing her voice and wants to protect it; she much prefers having Edmund speaking for her or writing things down for others to read, but if she has to speak, it's always in a very soft whisper. On the flip side, Edmund is a very loud, boisterous, brash, and sociable individual who likes hanging out with people, having a love for big and lavish parties to hang out with others, something Elisabeth doesn't really participate in (but doesn't mind Edmund doing); ironically, Edmund isn't much for attention when he's in public with his sister, but this is mainly because he and Elisabeth want to just be regular individuals outside of their professions (and Edmund doesn't want Elisabeth dealing with problems).
