Elisabeth and Edmund Koenigsberg =
KobaltSteel
Another pic of the Koenigsberg Twins, showcasing refined designs (this picture still uses their old surnames, I know). While I'm thinking of keeping Edmund's general look, but giving him heeled boots or shoes to make him look a bit more flamboyant, Elisabeth's design has been adjusted slightly, replacing the intended heeled fur boots in favor of dainty white stilettos with bows and red soles. I'm going to further adjust their designs a bit, as I want Edmund to look "flamboyant," matching hi boisterous and sociable personality, and Elisabeth would have a stylish but dainty look, like a cross between Rarity and Fluttershy. What I'm saying is... the designs need more work...
In regards to their backstory, the two of them were once members of a traveling circus troupe, being conjoined twins (at the hip) who were orphaned at birth and adopted by the circus performers, where they were raised their whole childhood; this is the same troupe that both Dr. Ryunosuke Shirashi and Wilhelm Esterreicher worked at and the two of them know the Koenigsberg twins very well. Although the two of them would tend to perform as both circus workers and members of the circus' freak show talent act, the two of them would set their eyes on their musical ambitions early on, independently studying and practicing music and singing on their free time, which would always please the other performers whenever they performed for just themselves.
Sadly, their musical ambitions were temporarily halted when the twins (along with most of the other members and workers) were fired and expelled from the circus following a merger with a much larger circus that was found to be engaged in illegal activities, rendering the twins homeless for a while before being adopted by their biological grandmother, who managed to find them after years of searching. Their grandmother encouraged and blossomed their musical ambitions with formal training from schools and professors and, eventually, singing roles in some productions, which only grew from there; they also managed to get surgery to properly separate the two from each other, having wanted this for years now (and it was thankfully do-able, biologically speaking).
