Many carnivals hire South Africans (mostly white ones) to set up, tear down, and operate their rides. Though since Obama signed a bill 2 years ago putting a halt to granting work visas from South Africa, North American Midway Entertainment seems to be the only carnival out there that still hires them.
Since George W. Bush established the Dept. of Homeland Security, the INS has been cracking down on illegal immigrants in the carnivals, namely Mexican ones. As a result, carnivals began outsourcing legal foreign labor from other countries. One such country has been South Africa. On Degeller Attractions, they've been known to not only get them from South Africa, but Russia and Switzerland as well.
Why do they not realise that cheap immigrant labour is the invisible backbone of the US economy? Get rid of every illegal mexican today and the entire Southwest will grind to a screeching halt. No buildings will be built, no lawns or parks tended to, no restaurants able to run, no streets swept....
