My second submission. Mocc and Sal got into a bit of trouble, it seems. You can find info on them in my Journal.
Mocc stood on the sword, looking around the empty armory. He was here to help Sal look for his hat, which Alex had hidden from him in this room. At the moment, Mocc was standing upon a sword that had been set against one of the tables, set in one of the little weapon holders, trying to get on the table to look around. Sal, on the other hand, was on the floor, looking around, behind, and under things for the hat. Currently, he was under a storage shelf across from the table, walking through the dirt, dust bunnies, and other things.
Mocc was atop the table, having hopped the gap between the table and the bottom of the handguard. He walked forwards, glancing around trying to spot a place Alex would have set the hat. He saw a dagger that he figured would be as good as any other place to look. So, he walked over to it. It was worn, that was clear enough, with the hilt being sweat encrusted, and the blade clearly having been used. Mocc climbs atop it, on the hilt, and begins looking through and under the wrap for the hat.
Sal, in the meantime, had just finished searching under the cabinet. He moved into the more open floor of the room, and he glanced around for where he could search. He spots an area dominated by a macro-sized chest, which has a suitably large lock on it. He runs over to the chest and begins to climb it. He gets up to just a few inches below it, when the door swung open.
Nell is one of the Logkeepers of the keep, and the main Logkeeper of the Armory. She is tall, even for a macro, standing at 6’ 5” tall and weighing 210 pounds. She is a snow fox, and, as such, her fur is white, gray, and black. She’s a logical fur, and she was a little apathetic to micros, and a little bit of an arse if they get in her way. She walked in, fully, and looked around, standing only a few feet from Sal. She noted the location and amount of the weapons in the notepad she always carries. She steps in a bit more, opening and looking through the cabinet that Sal had been under not long ago.
Speaking of Sal, he was watching Nell. He knew he should hide; she would not be pleased with him for entering the Armory without at least asking. He drops to the ground and rolls as he hits the ground. He dashes behind the chest, quick enough to hide from Nell turning around.
Mocc heard Nell come in but couldn’t see her. That didn’t matter; he doesn’t particularly like macros, so he drops to the table and dives under the knife blade.
Nell finishes cataloging the cabinet, so she moves towards a weapon rack, the one against the table. She stood at the rack, cataloging the weapons, but then she notices something on the sword that Mocc had climbed earlier. She knelt to get a better look at it, and notices some scales, Mocc’s scales. She looks up, and glances around, setting her eyes on the knife. She sees something under the blade. Nell stands and grabs the knife, moving it.
She sees a tiny fur looking up at her in fear and surprise.
“Ugh, you goddamn micros . . . y’all are always getting on my nerves!”
She says as she reaches down and grabs Mocc, jostling him and shaking him as he struggles.
“You brought this upon yourself.”
As she says this, she opens a pouch at her waist and grabs a small vial, into which she drops Mocc, plugging the opening with a cap through which he could still get air. Nell flicks the vial as Mocc starts banging on the walls.
“You will stay in there ‘til I let you go. Maybe you will have learned not to screw with your superiors.”
She attaches the vial to her belt, using some string to attach him. She moves away from the table, by chance catching a glance of Sal as he tries to get into a better hiding spot.
“Ugh, not another one of you micros!”
She grabs Sal before he can get anywhere, but she does not grab another vial. Instead she just opens the one with Mocc, and drops him in as well. She gets to finishing the check, and heads to her room, where she grabs her new micros and puts them with the others in her cabinet.
During their punishment, they are made to run courses, fight each other (Nonlethally) or serve Nell. They are released weeks later, and to their surprise they learn it was because Alex had ‘bribed’ Nell. Alex made massive fun of them, and so did a few of their other friends. Alex tossed Sal his hat, saying that they ‘owed [Alex]’.
