I had the whole reason for it typed up at one point. But the basics are that we're linked. It was immortal but weakened from being imprisoned. It tried to kill my Mentor to gain back some power, I severed the link it had, causing it to latch onto me, and get our souls inter-tangled. So my char is stuck; doesn't age, and the Fairy doesn't have it's true powers, so tries to get others to do evil things on it's behalf.
