you don't need to worry about the time taken. i know these things can sometimes take time, and that you've got a life outside of this. i'm just glad you had the time to create this for me. it's a personal piece and i'm glad i asked you to do it.
as always, a nice job on textures etc. his coat does have a shaggier look than i would have expected, but this has still been excellently carried out, especially on the rear end. the only downside to the longer fur would be that there seems to be less definition in the back/shoulders and combined with the facial features, creates a slight wolfish appearance. but i figure that can add to his wild side, as he is very much an outdoor cat.
i notice there are a couple of small changes, most notably on the feral cat. i think the change of eye size, expression and gaze have slightly reduced the visible connection and level of playfulness. having said that, the changes do increace the level of realism, and probably also better reflect his age. (similar thoughts on the position of the left paw).
as i mentioned with the sketch, i love the pose you selected and enjoy the level of interaction you've created. much better than anything i had in mind. it has alot of life to it.
her hands and claws are wonderfully done. those seem like difficult positions, but they have turned out nicely and have been nicely shaded/lit. same goes for his paws.
her tail is a little on the thin side, but it contains very nice tones - i like that you've managed to blend in some darker colours to help show the breed. i also like that you've managed to get a number of tones in his fur - gives a bit of extra life to an unpatterned coat.
the anatomy of both characters seems very good. plus as i said before, in response to the sketch, you captured the feral cat's build perfectly. i really like his overall shape and the overall size you have chosen.
it's quite clever how the slight shift in her body and the colouration of the belly have given a slimmer shape than the sketch. i'm glad the changes were made without having to alter the image too much.
i like her ears, they seem a bit thicker and fluffier than cats in general, but i really like the look.
i'm really pleased with the work you've done and look forward to having it up on my wall. (plus it's hard to get the full impression without seeing it in person). thanks again.
