You know, my ex is a photographer, and his greatest downfall was always that he was literally unwilling to take a shot unless all the elements were perfect in his opinion. Time of day, particular light, subject matter steady, etc, etc. The result was that he would spend 24 hours and only literally take one picture (not several pictures of the same thing - ONE shot) and then if that shot didn't turn out, well, he was screwed.
TRUE photography comes in taking pictures of anything and everything, any chance you get, because you never know when that candid moment will turn out to be solid gold just like this. Too often we rely too much on what we *think* is a good shot instead of letting fate take its course.
I REALLY like your stuff, and I think you've got some major talent on your side.

That, my friend, is dang well EXACTLY how you should be doing things. Keep the rest of those shots backed up as well. Never know when you might need them!
I tell you, if you ever think that your stuff is only so-so, go to one of those stock image websites that buys pictures from individuals like yourself, and they're always looking to have excellent pictures of flora and fauna and wildlife and so forth. All it would take is one check from them to make you no longer doubt your skill.
