You may be asking, "Dude, what's with the jersey? Why isn't she wearing a Stars/Sabres/Habs sweater, since those are your favorite teams?"
Lore reason: Edmonton is the only team in the NHL with more than one anthro on the roster: a walrus in goal, and a cat and fox skaters.
Real reason: author/editor Rhonda Parrish, who I follow on X, is the most enthusiastic hockey fan I know. And her passion for the Oilers just rubbed off on me.
