carving was a bitch and painting was a bitch and layers and layers went into this and I could complain about my mistakes with the actual shape, but I DID IT! This is a leather mask that I cut, carved, shaved, molded, dyed, and painted. It fits like a glove and the eyes are good. I used two colors (guess which two) and changed their shades with various switched-up layers and different water levels. I'm so glad that the equine shape worked, now I can make all kinds of horse-like animal masks.
I kept wishing I had a real-life paint-bucket tool, though. XP Man those lines were tedious.
