It's been a while since i've dusted off my grayscale pastels so i decided to start back up with my all time favorite animal, the African Lion.

This sketch took about 2 hours and used a reference (that can be found here: http://room42.wikispaces.com/Savanna+Animals).

I prefer realism to the anime styles that i have attempted time and again and failed, so i'm going to be working on using more realism in my anthro pictures as soon as i get more practice in.
