My attempt at this week's Thursday Prompt. This week, the word for the prompt was "individual".
Per always, please be sure to check
ThursdayPrompt for more.
Was a bit iffy on this prompt and literally studied the word "individual" in the Webster's Dictionary for a time before figuring out how I wanted to go about this one. Actually wanted to do something for a character like this for some time and I think this made for a decent start.

I'm glad to hear you thought I managed my interpretation of the prompt this week well enough. Maybe if you have the time you might do something up non-canon (or canon, if you are feeling it) for Shelby; she is quite the interesting individual after all.
Thank you much for having taken the time to read, very much grateful for that.

It means a lot to hear you thought I got the emotion in this one; I do like playing up emotions to point that they're a bit cringe-y, but was a bit worried that maybe it wasn't quite as clear cut since I wanted to try this without any character dialogue.
I very much appreciate you having taken the time to read over this one, thank you much for that.

Going to be honest, was unfamiliar with that name and had to look up Edgar. Given that one of his most prolific characters was Tarzan, I believe I can see why you may have thought of him while reading this one.
Very much grateful you'd read through this one, always appreciate that.

When I was a lad... cough cough cough... Edgar Rice Burrows was one of the action adventure writers still so very popular with the youth. I read Tarzan and the Ant Men and loved it. More recently, there was the movie John Carter:

It got bad reviews, but I thought was pretty darned good.

I appreciate that you thought this one was interesting and I do definitely understand why things may have been a touch confusing. In my head, it all makes sense... but that's also in the depraved and baffling realm that is my head.
Oh, don't worry, it might be a rocky start, but they're sure to become good friends. *Eyes dart down to ongoing manuscript* Oh... oh, right...
