An interpretation of a female (anthro) Mizutsune
Female Mizutsune are not seen and fought in the series, but they are described to have “duller colours”, “shorter fins”, and “dark black fur”.
This my interpretation of a female (anthro) Mizutsune based on that description.

Heyyy an interpretation that doesn't intentionally look super ugly! I like it!
Btw iirc the book that it comes from doesn't say anything about the fur color. Idk where that popped up, the fandom is so focused on it that things just pop out of the air at this point.

Did a bit more research, and I couldn't find anything official that states the "dark black fur" description for female Mizutsune (yet I could for the other descriptions).
However, I think the "dark black fur" isn't too farfetched since a duller initially purple fur looks quite black in colour.

The fandom wiki is... very strange. It's run by the mainstream mh community so it reflects their views on things, which in this case is strange obsession with this single piece of lore.
The "book" in question is an art book for Monster Hunter Generations released only in Japan, it had a couple pages for Mizutsune and says a few "lore" bits alongside the concept arts, one of which was that minus the fur (smaller fins and paler colors I think it was?).
