The Acceptance of Being a Rabbot
Bunnie Rabbot's Farm, Northamer, Planet Mobius, 3235 P.X.E.
On the edge of what was once the southern borders of the Kingdom of Acorn referred to as the Southern Baronies, a small house rested in seeming solitude, surrounded by several patches of farmland where vegetables were planted, cared for, and harvested every now and then. While it was not an exciting way to provide food for one self whether through direct consumption or the occasional selling of produce, or even easy, the farming lifestyle did give sixteen year old Bunnie Rabbot a degree of independence as well as something to tend her efforts to.
A yellow and white furred Mobian rabbit with green eyes, who wore a pink leotard, in spite of what the few people Bunnie had met and traded with since she began to live by herself believed, her surname was meant to be pronounced with a silent "T" rather than a hard one. Growing up with her paternal relatives in her infantile years, Bunnie's first impressions on what a "Rabbot" was meant to be boiled down to either a kind of bowtie upon first hearing it, or a mechanical rabbit when she learned how to spell her own family name.
Having caught a glimpse of her monthly schedule, Bunnie knew that it was time to begin picking crops out from her carrot patch, and therefore, grabbed a small basket from the farmhouse porch before walking over to the carrots themselves. Taking out a single carrot to start with, followed by a second, Bunnie could not help but giggle at the old thought of her hands getting dirty due to hard work, despite her feminine good looks and noble birth.
That last part, however, brought a frown on Bunnie's face as she remembered what happened after her Aunt Lulumae passed away a few years ago, when she and her Uncle Beauregard had a conversation about her late parents that started out calm and peaceful, yet became a harsh argument over loyalty and sacrifice that spurred Bunnie to run away the following night. Thinking about Beauregard, the young rabbit woman wondered if her uncle was looking for her, or even if he was still alive and free, but quickly shook her head off that line of thought.
While she loved her uncle and aunt as if they were the ones who brought her into the world, Bunnie knew she could not remain focused on the past while Mobius itself was enduring a maddening age around her. Returning her attention to the carrots, she grabbed two more of them before Bunnie felt herself grabbed around the waist much to her startled surprise.
"Prey is captured," an electronic voice exclaimed, drawing Bunnie's gaze from the carrots and basket she dropped to the tall, gray and white color schemed robot that had somehow snuck up on her right, probably while she was down on memory lane, which reminded her of what an Overlander looked like in the photos Beauregard and Lulumae showed to her as a child. All the same, Bunnie did not need to be super smart to know that both it and the same model of machine holding her were SWAT Bots in the notorious Doctor Robotnik's world terrorizing army.
"Unhand me, you Yankee contraptions," Bunnie snapped in defiance.
"What an amusing rebuke," the SWAT Bot keeping her close retorted in what could best be described as sarcasm, followed by teaming up with its cohort to carry the Mobian rabbit by her arms to an orange van which, at first glance, did not seem like much, but had the tagline "Bot on the Spot" that was all the more self-telling. Having heard the scuttlebutt of what Robotnik was capable of with his advanced technology, Bunnie knew the van was actually a portable Roboticizer that would convert any living thing of flesh and blood into a robot.
Screaming in terror, Bunnie yelped, "Don't you dare throw me in there!"
"Sorry, lady," the first SWAT Bot she saw let out in an automatic way that was more cruel than sorry and then added, "but we work on a quota system," before it and its paired comrade threw her into the Roboticizer's entrance.
Once inside, Bunnie found herself trapped in a latch that she instantly felt was affecting her entire body. In barely a minute she could not feel what was going on with her legs, which prompted Bunnie to loosen her right arm free in a desperate attempt to escape before she then saw her left shoulder transform into a bulky thing of metal.
As her despair and fear deepened, Bunnie immediately saw what appeared to be a blue buzzsaw cutting its way through the van before revealing itself as a blue-quilled hedgehog wearing only white gloves, and red and white sneakers. If she was not in a frantic mind at the time, Bunnie would have thought her sudden rescuer looked familiar as well as cute.
"Yow," the hedgehog cried out in surprise before saying, "Roboticization in action!"
"Don't just stand there, sugah," Bunnie screamed in a panic. "Turn it off!"
"Sorry," the fella yelped apologetically and turned his attention to the neighbor power switch which he pulled down to power off the entire van, including the Roboticizer.
The process had ceased, but the machine's effects on Bunnie's whole being remained, prompting her to dizzily comment, "Ah don't feel at all well," before she then lost track of her surroundings.
"Oh, boy," Sonic the Hedgehog muttered to himself in dismay as soon as the poor rabbit fainted from all the excitement. Pulling the girl out of the latch to see that her left arm and lower torso were Roboticized, Sonic gently carried her in his arms out of the van just as his fellow Freedom Fighter, Rotor Walrus, was coming up to check on them.
