I love bees. They're fuzzy like pets and sturdy enough that they won't crunch if you ever get a chance to pet one as it crawls between two finger tips. The key is to appreciate that bees are in need of something either sweet for energy, watery for hydration, or pollen to do what they do best for fields. The key to not setting off a cascade of fear (That eventually turns into getting stung and a bees' death) , is purposefully looking for a way to lure and help a bee. (this works well with red wasps too). Find one that's dehydrated and give it a sugar water droplet on one finger tip. Sit still, do not move; watch and don't approach the tail(from behind).

Be an protector and use that powdered sugar to cover the bees in a funny sugary snow. if they have mites, the mites won't like the coarse feelings of the sugar and they'll flee the host bee. (mites have become a plague for some reason and are a major problem for bee populations everywhere).
