Muddy Workout Plan
Well, blamo, here's another one!! Almost out of footage from this excursion!!!
But I had a serious workout in some deep claylike goop on the 'dry' (not-so-dry) lake bed in my Velma-ish outfit from first wander.

Peeps often don't understand just how much of a struggle it can be! It truly was like getting stuck in glue. It takes effort to move, let alone escape, I'd love to find something truely deep, but then again it also frightens me for the eventual need to get free. Ya can certainly get worn out just struggling to get forward, while fighting not to sink, but still sinking all the same.
A lot of times I found a wonderfully deep spot - most often at quarries - and spent as much time as I could "pretending" to escape but, of course, only to sink deeper and deeper enjoying the hollywood-ish drama of it all. Spending all that time afterward extracting myself was the price of admission paid backward (gladly).
Oh gosh, quarries, now thats an elusive bird for me. While there are plenty about, they do a darned good job of making them darn difficult to access. They are like a forbidden fruit. (I do want to though!!!)
I'm not exactly a brave one, got a shy and timid streak a mile long.
Often times with a few of my pictures that I've posted here, best sinking depth I've gotten into was about my chest in depth before I feel a 'bottom' like surface, so for that sunk look I've just let myself 'float' in the muck as if doing a dog-paddle in a swimming pool sort of look.
With this particular adventure, at the dry/not-so-dry lake, this was an all day play and sink, (I started just shortly after sunrise, and wrapped up mid to late afternoon) This was the first time I had ever been here to explore this section of the lake at this time of the year. So part of my day was just spent exploring until I came upon this particular area and setup a basecamp at.
The art of sink is such a wonderful workout, and by days end I was completely exhausted. I had to keep in mind the cleanup and repacking, then hour or so long hike back to the adventure van. That bed felt so good to curl up under a warm heating blanket with a mug of hot cocoa and rewatching my adventures afterwards.
