Finals are in full swing-I've got ten final projects due by the end of next week. (Curse you, seven piece series. And curse you, professor who ate up half our class with another professor's presentation.)
Hopefully I can keep the comic updating regularly, but Comic Detours might be a bit more common the next week.

Actually, this is just a live trace of a sketch. I do like the line width variation, but I have little control over it. (Like in Ronnie's eye-that became a black spot no matter what setting the live trace was on.)
The uniform thickness comes from using the pencil tool in Illustrator, though none of the tools seem to allow any pen pressure variations. Sometimes it's frustrating to have my pages resemble coloring books, but the smooth marks and line control I get in exchange is worth it, 'till I find a more effective method.

I did, but it was pretty difficult to use. (It kept disconnecting from the laptop for some reason.) Now I've got a touchsmart laptop-being able to draw directly on the screen is much easier for me.
My version of Photoshop is pretty old-Photoshop 7, I think. Do you know that still have pen pressure features for digital inking, or is it something only the newer versions have?
