Aiv'ugduss - Child of Sarkomand [Character Ref Sheet]
I made a Mind Flayer, with twisted circumstances.
Born from an old lineage of powerful creatures with eldritch and psychic powers, Aiv'ugduss was born into a century where those kinds of powers aren't very fitting for taking over any society that he lives in. But above such matters, was the fact that he was raised without a mindset that would foster such power-seeking hunger.
Never once had he consumed a brain since childhood, having been able to sustain himself on other matters.
To add to his list of issues, every night would present a different unpleasant scenario to his gradually tiring mind, as his subconscious would wander far beyond the realms of his own dreams.
It was during the first of these series of nocturnal expeditions that he was made aware of the existence of the dreamlands, a plane separate from what would be called The Waking World.
He would see splendors beyond the mundane modern sights, like the rowdy harbors of Celephaïs, and the high grounds of the Plateau of Leng.
Wherever he went, he was met with an air of apprehension and fear, as if he was of evil ilk, or one with bad history, nonetheless.
In its way, these dreams served as decent escapes from the life that Aiv'ugduss lived when he was awake, for his reception in the waking world was similar to when he dreamt, but whereas the dreamlands looked at him in awe, the waking people would scoff and draw reference to fantasy boardgames.
Many times had Aiv'ugduss, whether consciously or not, threatened to crush man's skull with his jaws alone, but having never been good on his word.
