Bio: From one Bionic human to the next, we have a posthuman that proves not all humans have been warped physically and psychologically to be unrecognizable to their ancestors. Aside from their prostetic limbs and ears, the Neet are almost identical to their human ancestors in terms of appearance and behavior. Of the few sapient posthuman species on Anthropoterra, the Neet are the most common, even outnumbering their human ancestors, and would eventually go on to outcompete them entirely within a millenia after their evolution for the Neet are the apex of human and machine intergration.
The Neet's culture is heavily influenced by video games and social media, more so than our own culture. It's gotten to the point where not only do these posthumans exhibit the same thought process for naming Neetlets (which are basically the species' children) as humans do for naming social media accounts, but are also capable of manifesting fictional characters into the real world by merely imagining them in a manner similar to the aliens from the movie Pixels. These entities' strength and lifespan depend on the focus and concentration of the Neet controlling it. While this ability can be used to defend themselves from predators or flank prey, the Neet mostly it as recreational activities the same way gamers today do when playing video games today.
Another thing that differentiates the Neet from their human ancestors is that every member of this species has the physique of a stereotypical discord moderator. Even Neetlets look like minitature versions of their adult counterparts. The Neet have no concept of fatshaming and their bodies are far more resilient to obesity-related health risks than humans. This is because along with their prostetic limbs, the Neet have 3 bionic hearts capable of functioning independently from each other in the event one stops working. This allows the Neet to reach high weights without feeling negative consequences. The additional 2 hearts also makes them more active mentally, with most Neet being able to stay awake for 2 days before needing to sleep.
The Neet are also very gaseous, constantly releasing gas in the form of belches or farts, no doubt due to their fast food-rich diet and lifestyle. This doesn't bother the Neet because this gas serves as a noxious deterrent to predators, even the normally vicious and relentless Zoridian (though it won't stop them from trying to make a meal out of a Neet if they're desperate for food). The only other human species on Anthropoterra that doesn't react negatively to Neet gas are Flesh Furniture, and even that is mostly just because they lack fully functioning noses.
Pictured here is a pair of young adult Neets, Gemuotaku80 and Marunomi85, roughly in their early 20s with a lot to prove. Even though they haven't conceieved a Neetlet yet, these two have an unbreakable bond and prefer to be at each other's side, whether it being gorging on fast food, playing games or talking about the most trending shows so far. Truly these two have a bond as strong as their noxious stench.
Although not mentioned in the bio proper, I do not own the Space Invaders, Resident Evil, Goomba, or Slime. Each cameo mentioned belongs to their respective creators (Atari Inc, Capcom, Nintendo, and Square Enix in order from left to right)
I also do not own Pixels, the movie belongs to Chris Columbus (no, not the man who invaded America in the 1400s, the other Chris Columbus who invaded American theaters in the 2010s, duh)
