Buxley the Gecko =

A second design of Buxley the Gecko, which tries to show the truer nature of the character. This design was to show Buxley with some type of "attitude," getting away from the cutesy look of the first image, as he is supposed to be like a Sonic analogue. The design also highlights a part of Buxley's backstory, where he would be a member of a gang of revolutionist guerilla fighters engaged in a revolution against an imperialist government that took over his home country, an idea I pulled from the Sonic SatAM cartoon with the Knothole Freedom Fighters; I wanted to express this idea overtly, which led me to give him a red beret as an optional accessory... it looks cool, but it's just an optional accessory. In terms of his group of revolutionaries, he's not the leader, but is a valuable member of the team... he plays the same role as Sonic in the SatAM cartoon, of course...
