We went there som time ago.
The massive bridge was built in the mid 1800 to allow the Appia Way to go through the valley immediately north of Ariccia.
It was partially destroyed during the WWII and rebuilt when the war ended.
One of the center tallest pillars collapsed in 1967, tearing down the two adjecent arches. The causes of the collapse were never determined. The bridge was repaired afterwards and reopened.
