Not sure if it's vector, mostly kept to the pen tool

it's just a more general expression for pen/path tools. for instance illustrator is marketed as a "vector program", but it overlaps with photoshop's pen tool capabilities and builds on them.

Well it's because can't work with these paths, didn't use the path pen in SAI. But Sai has something called Stabiliser which help with curving lines more accurately. Just can't bend them, only erase and such.

Fantastic work. It was nice seeing you work on this, gonna have to try some of the stuff I saw :)
Also, I'm thinking of buying SAI, the inking looks pretty smooth from what I saw.
Wish I had your steady hand, though. I need more practice.
