Something I had the idea for since last summer and something that took me a couple weeks to finish, mostly owing to the car here. It's a Cougar fellow with a Mercury Cougar, inspired by seeing an actual Cougar at one or two local festivals my family and I attended, it actually took me a bit to find references for both the pose and the car itself (rather the year/model of Coog) until I finally found a stock photo with a fellow leaning against his vehicle in exactly the right way and framing that I wanted for my subject. Again, the car itself took the longest to draw, as I had settled on a 1969 model so the reference was super specific and I admittedly half assed the interior there, with the steering wheel and dashboard. Also, I decided to set the drawing in Colorado, so a bit of searching led me to a Google Street View of a dirt road outside Boulder which I thought was perfect to put our feline friend at.

Kind of funny drawing a Cougar (the animal, not the car) considering where I had grown up, I was super leery of them from all the horror stories of Cougars attacking people and their pets. We definitely had to look out for them more so than the bobcats and the coyotes where we lived.
