This is the final part of my third time at Thursday Prompt!
Here we go! There’s no turning back now. Mr. Thomas Kern must learn to cope with the recent events while playing at his upcoming concert. Will it work out for him? Will he find peace? Or will he struggle? This part I was going to include multiple pieces in it, but figured it would be too much so I focused on just one. And to me it sort of feels like the music theme of the story. Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, one of the most refreshing melodic piano concertos I could have chosen!
Music Referenced (I do not claim ownership for these videos):
Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2
(P.S This concerto is actually only a half-hour long, this video contains two separate recordings of the same concerto. At 11:08 starts Adagio sostenuto the second movement, I consider this the theme of this prompt series so if you want to listen to it while you read, might help you feel what I felt while writing!)
Make sure to check out the first two parts if you haven’t already!

Lovely story JL and very well done!
Two minor things I noticed as I read, "The two went they first shook hands, and she watched her exasperated face go on and on and on and on about his playing."
Perhaps a different word for this line to describe her expression would be better?
"getting the notes across a she feels the imprints on his fingers." - minor type but it broke the flow as I was reading.
Good story definitely though!
