„They said they'd give me everything,
Here's the part that made me laugh.
They didn't give me anything
And then they took half of that.
So sharpen your teeth or lay flat!”I am very pleased to post again for our super group <3
In order for this artwork to make sense to you, you must know its backstory.
More specifically, the backstory of Pokot. Namely, before he became an emaciated foul-mouthed recluse in the empty lands of Solitude, he was a member of Burzan's horde. Close to his "boss", he did not expect that, while the King of the Radur was uniting all the wolves, Burzan would respond to his "request" and merge with Radur's pack. He sensed this as a betrayal and refused to follow Burzan, whom he then made an enemy in his eyes. He turned and walked away, that's it in a nutshell.
This scene takes place, shortly after he was left alone and feeling free and invincible. The symbolism of this work is important, Pokot is passing through or rather coming out of a burnt tree struck by lightning, which is supposed to mean that he is separating himself from Burzan (You can translate his name as Storm).
The very phrase in the song 'lay flat' made me think of the meaning of the name 'Pokot', the ritualistic laying of bodies after hunting by hunters, and while in the Vataha universe itself such a celebration does not occur (if it does please admin for correction xD)
it is something I had in mind when creating. I hope you will enjoy my boi while he was still beautiful and young xD
The entire world as well as the characters mentioned above, besides Pokot, were designed and created by drawalotosaur for the art role-play game group VATAHV
