the ruling group of the vamps tends to give an 'allowance' to the vamps in the area. mostly to give them funds to do stuff to keep them occupied cause bored vampires tend to cause more hassle than they're worth. some use it open their own business like Meranda and Jake. Ames mostly just spends some on books and chills at home.
