In a remote corner of Unova, a village of Pokémon hides from the omnipresent humanity and the barbarity it brings with itself, flourishing through cooperation and rising above the uncaring brutality of the natural order. Which works remarkably well...
...until a half dead human shows up on their doorstep.

Oh my gosh, that means so much to me.
I never would've imagined my silly scribbles would leave that much impact on people, but I'm so, *so* happy to hear that, it's touching and inspiring.
I'll continue posting Another Way on furaffinity once my little break is over and I'm back to writing it, but I'm not sure if I'll post any stories I write afterwards on furaffinity because, well, not many people read them here and the lack of formatting is a bit annoying to deal with. Archive of Our Own is my main platform so to say, and I post updates on my Discord server (link in the description of this post)
I love asking this to people and I hope you don't mind--what have been your favourite or memorable moments / characters from this (or both this + AW) story?

And yeah, I absolutely get what you mean with your preference for Another Way. It really depends on the person whether they "click" more with From the Vast or Another Way. From the Vast has that aspect of an abused child getting rescued, and even though she obviously can't do too much, it doesn't matter--she deserves safety too, and to not be burdened with the weight of the village's predicament. Meanwhile, Another Way has that struggle for self-determination, for Sue to find herself both as a person and in this new world specifically.
I'm really glad at least one of them clicked for you c:
And no, don't worry, I don't mind reading people's feedback--I love it, in fact!
P.S. That's true, nobody yet, though that's mostly due to few people knowing just how limited Sue's skills truly are. If she'd been any other Forest Guardian, that display wouldn't have been remarkable.
