Sometimes when it rains, it pours. In addition to the death of my little sister's cat (whose memorial piece you can find here), one of my closest friends lost his cat, Rigel, at around the same time. Unlike my sister's cat, who was very old, Rigel was only 4 years old. He had a series of health issues that culminated in a seizure that ultimately took his little life.
I was unsure if my friend would have felt comfortable with a faux taxidermy (the process used for my sister's cat), so I altered the pattern to be more doll-like and crocheted him a little sweater.
