Has Barbados ever produced a car? Sort of! As Barbados Motor Company, this car was presumably designed by the late Neville Trickett, who was a very important figure in enthusiast kit cars. He'd design and build vehicles out of chopped up Minis and Beetles, typically keeping the same engines, but sometimes springing for a Ford Popular or Citroen 2CV powertrain. He created the original chop-top MiniSprint, and made primarily buggies and sports cars. The other designer of the Barbados car was John Jobber of GP, a kit company that both men worked at
