The Fanged Red Drake inhabits the grasslands in the Elysium Continent's southern part. In recent years its natural habitat has dwindled due to the spreading of forests within the western coastal regions of this landmass.

It is a solitary species, that opts to hunt alone and not share the spoils of its labor. It has a voracious appetite and will take down anything weaker than it (typically large rodents, small horses, and the offspring of larger herbivores).

The eponymous "fangs" are used to pierce through the neck of its prey. Unlike the saber teeth of Earth's Machairodontinae, these teeth are thick and not fragile. The bite relies less on precision and more on brute force to deal fatal damage.

When faced with a larger or simply stronger adversary, the Fanged Red Drakes are more likely to flee rather than fight. They have a knack for sensing magical auras and can easily tell when fighting becomes a much too dangerous option for them.
