It's Me! (Fursona Reference Sheet 2024)
Cat, I'm a kitty cat, and I dance dance dance and I dance dance dance...
You know, for the longest time I was pretty certain I’d just never have a fursona. I made this account in 2011, and that was after a period (which I can’t remember the length of) of browsing FurAffinity beforehand. In other words, I’ve been a furry for a minimum of somewhere around the 12-13 year mark, give or take a few months, and for almost that entire time I’ve been far more comfortable with depicting myself as just myself in roleplays and what have you - just a regular, boring, generic human - and once or twice, in art, a Shiba Inu.
At some point late last year, though, this changed. Don’t ask my why or how, because - frankly I’m not exactly sure when and I’d need to go digging through months of conversations - but at some point, I just realised: my fursona should be a cat, and it’s a bit weird I didn’t realise this sooner, because a lot of my personal habits line up with cats’. It’s a little funny just how quick it was to transition from ‘fully human’ to ‘fully cat’ in terms of how I thought about the idea of representing myself in stories and art, and so on, but I’m not complaining: it might have taken over a decade, but I’ve found my fursona, and I’m happy with him.
Even if it means that I have to share the single braincell with all the other orange cats.
Thank you very much to
joakimthefzl for drawing this. This was meant to go up yesterday on my birthday, along with a whole chunk of other things… but then I realised I had no idea what to write for the descriptions. Whoops~

Very orange cat-like of you.
Seriously, though: Here's to you and your birthday! It's wild to think how much time has passed since we became friends. So little time, and yet so much time too. I'm so glad I met you, not a day goes by I'm not grateful for it. I love you dude. <3
