Aries is ruled by the planet Mars. Being the first sign in the zodiac, Aries is associated with the astrological first house.
Aries is a fire sign. It is also a Cardinal sign which has qualities to have a strong leadership streak.
Generally, Aries are considered to be strongly compatible with the natives of the other fire signs of Sagittarius and Leo. Aries are also compatible with the air signs of Gemini, Libra (The opposite of Aries), and Aquarius. Since Capricorn and Cancer are signs of the other nature (feminine/introverted), they are considered to be semi-compatible with Aries due to their having the same cardinal quality.
