A pair of amorous adventurers strike a deal with a strange serpent for a rather rare reward!
---
It all started out so simple! I had been talking to
WhiteMantis about how she had wanted to do Iron Artist-ish commissions, really fast, one after another, and had thought about taking World of Warcraft themed ones. I immediately said I'd want to have myself drawn as the particular type of naga one finds in that game. This was months and months ago!
Since then, both WM and I became all the more enraptured by the project, and it developed from a quick sketch sort of piece into quite the beautiful full scene. And on my side of things, I felt the need to explain a normal naga such as myself being present in Azeroth, since the idea evolved into it being me transforming into a WoW-naga.
I began to develop and write a mini-story where a pair of adventurers belonging to WM and her boyfriend (the in-game couple are seen here: LINK ), encountered me and fell prey to the sort of thing I typically make people fall prey to! >:}===<
(Along the way, WM was so enamoured with my writing about her WoW-counterparts that she drew this picture: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5364952/ and I then ALSO wrote a tiny story for THAT picture [also in that last link], all thanks to this WoW-naga idea that was still in progress.)
Nevertheless, it's all done now! You've already seen the story above, and the picture is over here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/5856282 (Of course, you might want to wait until the story directs you to this link itself!)

The art comes first, though. My stories are supporting her art, not the other way around.
Although, it's kind of a moot point. Also, wait! Does this mean you think our individual efforts need the support of the other?? :P *acts like he's insulted, even though you know he's not*

Are you using alliteration on purpose or has it just become a part of you? Either way it's simply delightful. I don't know how you made a stroll through the uncanny valley so romantic. I suppose that's another of your latent magical talents. Nice to see a few young adventurers get away from the grind for a moment or two. I think that's one of the reasons I like archaeology. The fact that there's an archaeology necklace that turns you into a naga is unrelated. Probably...
Great style of narration. I love how you used their perspective a bit, where nothing seemed to be amiss. Just two loves going for a swim. It really eases the trauma and fear that normally accompanies a sudden transformation. In any case, it's good to hear that you had fun on your trip. I never pictured you as the mysterious traveler type, but you seem to have made out quite well for yourself.

"The perfect person to propel people to a proper palace of po"-- Your subject line was cut off! D:
Anyway, yes, I think I'm unable to arrest my all-the-time alliteration! I can't stop doing it. I've got a real problem. :S
Oh! Sheba told me all about the Bones of Transformation, yesss. :}===<
And I'm glad you appreciated that, since I was really working hard to keep things light. Darn TF trope of always making it so.. stressful or weird for the subjects. :P

Bah, I don't even remember the end of that one. I think it was "Potential potent potables." It's nothing that could hold a confligrant candle to your almighty artful alliterations and masterful manipulations of whimsical written words anyhow. Jesus that was hard, do I like... win something for that?
In any case, you certainly deserve the praise. TF is probably my most favored fantasy element. Oh who am I kidding, none of my stories are TF-free. There is always that gap to bridge though. Having someone be excited to have their bones tortuously twisted into nasty knots is either going to break suspension of disbelief of ruin someone's perception of the character. Body identity is a core component of someone's psyche. Having your body drastically deviate from that ideal image should rightly be somewhere between disturbingly disconcerting and freaking terrifying. I never did come up with the magical method that I needed to get around that. Hell, in the one story I made it about 9006 times worse for the main character. I felt bad about doing it to him. He got sexy time at the end though, he'll be okay.

I didn't try for any fancy alliterations in this story, really! The ones you just did here are more 'masterful' than anything I pulled together this time around.
I suppose you're just thinking about my past glories, anyway. :>
Sexy time makes everything better, yes. I concur about some of your concerns about TF.. although I do think it's possible to make a character/being/creature who is meant to go through TF, or has done it so much that they only find pleasure in it.. either because they're used to it and it's mundane, or something where it's a natural part of their anatomy. Magical anatomy. Like.. a mermaid (in human form) turning back into a mer when entering the water. Magic tends to be able to sweep away a plethora of those pesky problems of pain from pulling and pushing parts of one's body.
Oh, and liquid TFs. If you add that in, any TF can be made to sound smooth as silk (or smooth as water/oil/lube/etc). I don't mean turning into goo, but rather, using it as a transitional form. Melty imagery for a solid to solid TF. I don't know, you probably know all that already.
And don't think I didn't notice all those alliterative pairings in your comment. Oh, and 9006 is an ambigram! I love those! :>

Bah, mine are excessive and egregious, the result of much synonym switching and dictionary diving. I asked because all your alliterations sound so silky smooth and natural, they just become a part of your perfect prose and tactful meter. I was wondering if it was a God-given gift or perhaps a trained talent of yours.
I did a latex TF recently that soothed a lot of the growing pains with rubbery goo. You're very much correct. Adding an intermediate material with a little magic can streamline a lot of the more unpleasant elements of a transformation. That and it happened over the course of a couple days, to give the target a chance to adjust a bit before the real changes started going down. His excitable sprite of a lover was very supportive through it all and that helped a lot as well. (Also a little sex made it a little better, and A LOT of it, well, you know...) But I think I'm starting to give away a bit too much of the plot now. If memory serves, you did once express interest in reading that one...
An ambigram? Only you would notice that. Though I suppose I did kind of do it on purpose, now that I think about it. Any other time I would've just picked a random number that's Over Nine-Thousand, but for you, only the best.

After all that in the first line, you say "perfect prose and TACTFUL meter"?? Why not "measured meter"? :}
I think my alliterating is just from experience, having done so much of it in writing so far, it comes quicker.
Aha, I see! Sounds like one of your balloonie stories that were based on Anima's Burgeoning Desires stories, maybe?
I do want to read your work, but I have been really busy. Really!
Thanks for the numeral niceties. :}

See why you're the master and I'm not? ^_^
And yes, that was THE balloonie story I wrote based on
Anima's Burgeoning Desires; for there is one and only one.
I almost don't blame you for not reading it at this point. Depending on how this Epilogue goes I may get to celebrate the 100,000 word mark before this one reaches its end. It's become a most implacable story that has consumed much of my time and energy. The results have been phenomenal though. I'm glad I took the time and I know that you will be too. If you want the full experience you can print it out and use it to stop bullets or bludgeon someone to death. If by some miracle you should find the time it will still be there. As I'm sure you're aware, the start of this Nantucket Sleigh-ride can be found in my gallery where it composes roughly 50% of my submissions. Yeah, good luck with that.

Wow, you must be very proud to be the creator of this masterpiece! I love it so much how the transformation is just as subtle to the characters in the story as for the reader: first it wasn't that clear to me at what was happening (although I did have my expectations), but later when the characters find out what caused their delicate feelings and emotions, the reader realises this as well.
Also I think we share the same interests when it comes to species; we both (abhor?) don't like legs in our characters, which is exactly so intriguing! ^^. ^^

'Abhor' is a bit strong (it means very intense hate, I think. Like Loathing/to loathe), but yes, neither of us want legs for our alter egos, that much is true!
Anyway, I figured I had to switch things up at least a little! I can't just keep doing serpentine TFs without a different way to portray them. :}===<

Yeah I thought abhor was a bit overreactive, so I considered to do it between those (hooks). Or whatever they are named.
And whatever you will write we will know that it's awesome, but of course there is a time when they start to become dull.
The sea serpents could use a bit more detailed description though. The reader has no idea how big the two have become, or what colour their scales are. That's one thing that I missed.

True! I never meant for the story to be as long as it was, though, so I decided to end it quickly after their transformation.
You can kinda see their colours in this picture, plus, their colouration pretty much matches their previous skintones: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/4663351/
Also, they are the standard Wow-Naga sizes! (males are bigger)

Yelch, I seriously do not like the sight of that (I'm not a WoW fan, nor a fan of humanoids such as trolls, elves, naga's (with the human upper torso) and such) , but it gives me a good visual projection of what they might look like. The males being bigger is good of course. ^^
I love to hear that! Not just that you enjoyed, but that you'll be trying to take the time to go back to find older works. I'm always concerned people will only pay attention to the one submission that they found, or the ones still to come, ignoring the back-catalog, as it were.
Anyway, I could recommend some, but I'm pressed for time right now. Normally, I'd look at your page and faves to see what you like and then maybe try to offer up some of my older works, but I'll do that next time I'm online.. or if you want to tell me what you want to read, I'll link you some stuff here.
Since this is a clean work, you might want to specify if you want dirty stuff or not, various kinks if smut is okay, etc.
But, then again, you can probably find it all yourself without needing to wait for me to reappear (I'm going to be really busy for the rest of the week, I feel)
Anyway, thanks for the comment, glad you liked it!

Haven't had a chance yet, but I like most topics. The only thing I really don't care a lot for in written works is pure smut. I like there to be a story and for the sex to be a part of the story, not thrown in just for the jo factor. Two of my fave writers are
tiberiusrings and
kyell.

Aw, but pure smut is fun too! :}
Hrmm, I suppose my longer ones might be more about the story side of things. Maybe you should try 'Boy Meets Gill(s)': http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2348881/

Good grief man, you always stun me with your skills. I quite liked the emotion and tenderness of this one, with a subtle undercurrent of wryness that your character tends to lend to your stories. I'm still quite interested in writing a story with you, should you ever be so inclined, or simply getting a hold of your msn/skype contacts. :}
Your praise is odd to hear, because of your considerable talent! But also because I didn't perceive this story as a great effort on my part. I mostly wrote it while hanging out in IMs with Sheba, while being inspired by her arting and her enthusiasm for my writing (see 'MiniMeltyMissive') and the like.
So, I have this odd sense of expecting to hear that this one was a bit 'meh', and that I'd use the excuse that I don't know WoW at all, or these two characters of Sheba's, and that it wasn't meant to be anything. And now that people are all up ons and saying it's good, I don't know how to react. I'm both worried and pleased about this in relation to my future prospects. Worried because, if the 'big ones' I do in the future, the ones I believe that I really put effort into.. if they aren't received as well, then that'll be all sorts of backwards and weird for me. I'm pleased in the sense that it's possible any future "big ones" will maybe be even better than this one.
Anyway, as for collaborating with you, I continue to have two jobs (which are currently masquerading as three jobs) and next-to-no free time, really! I'm cutting into sleep time right now to answer these comments from this story and picture.

Gouge your eyes out.. over what? :S Other, badly written TF ones? I assume you like TF and search for that parameter in the browse feature's drop-down menu, and find them occasionally here on FA, but then you try to read them, and they're indecipherable or terrible? Well, that's why I write my own! :}
Anyway, thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it/it was up to your high standards.

Oh! I'm glad I could call up some fond gaming memories for you, Felldewan! :}
I've never played WoW myself, in fact. Also, speaking of the launch / defining of the MMO genre.. is it possible that Everquest helped begin that trend, or what? I know it was never as popular as WoW, but it was a pioneer, at least.
The couple in this story were provided by WhiteMantis, but I suppose you know that. I suppose in this fiction Rak is more take-charge, but I'm sure Lonerin has his moments too. Anyway, as for the lore of the world and what races would hang out together, it's all super non-canon, so I wouldn't worry about that. :>
I'm so glad you liked it, yes, and thanks for faving the art and now the story as well! :}===<
The story only happened because I just so happened to commission WhiteMantis for Ame turning into a WoW-Naga, and then I felt like I just HAD to write something for the art that came about.. and since she put her two characters in the distance, having been TFed into WoW-Nagas, I thought it was a great story-hook.
I bet you COULD do a story with Glark now, though.. you don't have to put every single little detail about WoW/Azeroth into your tale, after all.

Also, thanks for those six other faves from recently! :D
