Hunter and Colleen, now a married couple, are on holiday on an Italian beach with their pups Alexander, Cassie and Kayla as well as Hunter's mother Starlight. They are gathered around a sandcastle they have all built together to pose for a family holiday photo.

TheHotrodHero wanted this piece as a tribute to a friend whom he has lost contact with. This friend, Phoenix710, is the one who created the pups Alex, Cassie and Kayla and wrote a story about it here: https://m.fanfiction.net/s/4403265/8/. The sandcastle in the middle is in tribute to him, featuring a phoenix on top and the Roman numerals DCCX on its side.
Fun fact: Hunter's mom was never given a name in the original show. While in this incarnation she is known as Starlight, I myself always know her as Dandelion, a name I picked up from the heydays of the Road Rovers fandom from a fanfic writer named Steven Today. HotrodHero himself thinks her name should actually be Missy.

This is wonderful to see. As a Road Rovers fan myself, I always loved the episode where Hunter finds his Mother, it also had Colleen realize how she truly feels about Hunter. And this artwork seems like a future based summary of that episode, if I'm meaning that correctly.
I love the way you made Hunter's Mother look, and especially the children. They all (including the Mother/Grandmother) look so adorable. Plus, I like the detail of how Alexander has Colleen's eyes, and how Cassie has Hunter's eyes. And though Kayla has Colleen's eyes, she has some of Hunter's colorations on her coat. Along with some of his tail shaping for her tail too.
Also, Kayla happily sticking out her tongue on instinct as Colleen rubs her head is just too cute. Along with Alexander's peace sign.
