During their mission to stop the mind controlled Justice League, now servants for Brainiac in his conquest of Earth, the Task Force X, also known as Suicide Squad, tried to escape the mess taking place in Metropolis. Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang and King Shark all went after Dr. Happersen, a scientist working for Lex Luthor, in a way to remove the bombs implanted in their heads, as Happersen himself was the one who made them in the first place. Things didn't go at all as expected.
Found the scientist, the Suicide Squad was about to be free, just for Amanda Waller to come in and ruin everything, proclaiming herself as the "daddy" of Task Force X, while denying them the possibility of getting the bombs out.
King Shark just snapped: full of anger, and of hunger too, he caught Waller off guard and devoured her on the spot, swallowing her whole and alive, and trapping her in his stomach.
If she wanted so much to be the father figure for them, the demigod gave her the respect he gave to his own father: the one he had for a meal that had nowhere to go except inside his gut.
A tough choice now, in the hands of Waller's men: blow up King Shark, and risk Amanda's life as the demigod could digest her on the spot or the explosion could take her too, or freeing the Suicide Squad from the bombs, after which King Shark MAY let Waller out unharmed.
A very difficult situation for them... on which Captain Boomerang found the time to make a joke, dumb as he always is.
