I'm actually on time with a trend for once, woo!
I saw the meme dress floating around and loved it, so much so that I had a very hard time deciding who I should draw in it. So in the interest of not choosing at all, I drew both of our favorite big girls wearing their own copies of the fancy garment while they hit the town! Said town had better watch out, it looks like they're in for a night of fun.
This one was a lot of fun to work on. It took way longer than I wanted, but I enjoyed the process a lot. I did a lot of muscle and proportion studying, and played around with the fabric a lot to get something that I'm really proud of. It was also a lot of fun to think about the relationship between these two while I was working.
This isn't the first time the matronly duo have been depicted together, and it certainly won't be the last. I've decided that the two are good friends given how much they share in common. Shelby enjoys the company of another woman around her age and likes the relaxed nature of life outside of her job, and Mikayla enjoys not being the tallest person in the room. The big moo is also a bottomless well of interesting stories!
