Two indigenous natives from different tribes cross paths with each other in a sort of meeting with each other. This can be just a casual scene depicted as everyday life.Tribal CrossingDawn's fur waves in the soft breeze that is wafting throughout the landscape. It is a windy, sunny day for a new morning, and Dawn has just emerged from her tent, having just awakened from her slumber.
After stretching and yawning, the doe begins to rub whatever sleep is remaining from her eyes and begins to go about her day to start off, venturing away from her tent a little bit to survey her land. She later retreats back inside of her tent to grab some supplies and head out.
Being a local healer for her tribe, Dawn has extensive knowledge in her use of medicine, picking different herbs, spices, and even flowers for different medicinal qualities. In fact, the doe is even carrying a leather basket of her own to stock up on some medicinal supplies of her own.
~~~~~Dawn is busy gathering supplies from the surrounding bushes with her basket close by. And when she finishes, she returns back to her tent to drop off the surplus. When she returns, however, she is met with the surprise of a sudden visitor, to which she retreats behind the nearby bushes to avoid. Unfortunately, she is instantly found out - an annoyed voice rings out, “I can hear you, y’know! So just come on out and we'll have no problems!”
Guilty, Dawn slinks away from her hiding spot right into the view of a muscular male lynx, whose blue eyes are locked right on to the deer with an annoyed scowl. The blue loincloth he’s wearing as well as the garnet studded necklace denotes his tribal lifestyle, but this lynx appears to be more than annoyed at the person hiding from him.
With a soft shake of his head, the lynx sighs, “There's no need to be scared around me. I'm just passing through on my way back to my tribe. By the way, I'm Ronnie. Who are you?”
“Dawn. My name is Dawn Leap. Uh,” Dawn nervously bows to the lynx out of respect and blushes slightly out of anxiety. “how may I help you??”
Ronnie raises a hand up to stop her. “There's no need to bow to me. But I appreciate it. I'm more willing to assist you myself. You look like you could use a hand or a bodyguard.” The lynx begins to flex his biceps and puff his chest out in a display of his own strength, leaving Dawn blushing deeper. The doe rubs her nose and claims, “I may not need any help of that caliber but you don't appear to be in a hurry. But you are quite handsome, I may add.”
The lynx shrugs openly from the compliment while thanking her, “Eh, I get that a lot. Comes with working out and keeping physically fit. Now, how do you want me to assist you?”
Dawn is about to speak when Ronnie marches up to her, causing her to lose her breath once more. She performs a quick, thorough inspection of the muscular lynx, taking particular notice of his abs, but what also gets her attention is a garnet studded ring on his right ring finger. This indicates his marital status and the doe quickly excuses herself before retreating to breathe. This leaves Ronnie folding his arms in wait while Dawn collects herself.
Finally, the doe re-emerges from her tent to meet Ronnie where she later admits, “It's hard not to be attracted to you. I didn't know you were married until I noticed the wedding ring on your finger.”
“Oh this?” Ronnie holds up his right hand to allow the gemstone ring to sparkle more in the sunlight. He is showing this off to Dawn while he relates, “Yeah, I have a beautiful wife - you should meet her. Her looks aren’t just what got me into her, it's her independent spirit and her hardworking drive. Her name is Fukari; and no, she's not gonna eat you.”
Dawn blinks at Ronnie and suddenly, she does a double take towards him, inspecting him more closely. This makes Ronnie uncomfortable and he backs away for personal space. Finally, the female deer relates with a shake of her head, “Sorry, I thought you were someone else. You look just like him.”
Ronnie places his hands on his hips and smiles broadly. He remarks, “I know who you're talking about! He’s just busy right now. He normally visits me from time to time and stays over for a few days. I kinda wonder if he's ever going to come back. It's been a while since I last heard from him.”
Dawn sees Ronnie staring off into the distance from the direction he was traveling until he encountered Dawn directly. But seeing his mood and posture deflate, Dawn decides to change the subject, “So, what's the name of the tribe you're from and what land are you all in?”
“Sagaro.” Ronnie turns to face Dawn once more, chuckling at the name of his tribe. He smirks, “I know - named after a cactus. And the land that I’m going back to is actually west from here. I was heading in that direction when I heard something rustling.”
“Just curious.” Dawn shrugs in return to Ronnie's suspicion. She clasps her hands in front of her while fidgeting with her hooves against the grassy floor. “You’re awfully strong for a lynx. I'm just a healer - are you a warrior of your tribe?”
Ronnie whistles in awe at the deer. Impressed, he extends a thumbs-up to her. “You nailed it right off the bat! That was a quick, simple assumption you made and that's right! I am a warrior! Us lynx can't roar like other cats!”
Laughter breaks out among the duo for a short time. Then they resume their conversation and eventually get down to business. “So, what did you need me to assist you with? Healers have all sorts of things at their disposal, right?”
“That's not always the case.” Dawn shakes her head. “As a healer of the Cervine tribe, I still have a lot of work to do, and it's not just gathering supplies. I also need to stock up on other things for my work, things like gloves, scrubs, and whatnot.”
“I can help you with that! I don't know if your chief will be okay with you leaving the reservation.” Ronnie concluded on suspicion.
Dawn makes a face in protest and reminds the lynx, “Ronnie! All of our business isn't just inside the reservation, it's outside too! Why do you think all the healers wear gloves??”
“Oh…” Now it's Ronnie’s turn to feel stupid; a mild pink blush comes to his face on realization. Yet he rubs his neck, bashful. He then suggests, “My wife and I can assist you with that. Is that fine with you, Dawn?”
“Fine with me!” Dawn chirps happily, clasping her hands in front of her chest.
~~~~~“Timmy, who is this? And where is Ronnie? He’s supposed to be back like half an hour ago!” Sitting at a table inside of their wooden cabin, Fukari and Timmy are discussing a session from the latter, who is showing the indigenous female a picture from one of his shows with a female fan in the background.
“That is one of my fans who happens to be a female lynx herself. And no, I am not interested in dating yet.” Timmy and Ronnie do look almost alike - same build, same structure, same fur colors. Only differences are eye color, spots, and ear tufts. But Timmy himself has no problem sharing his personal life with Fukari; he trusts her as well. As the two go about their conversation, the door opens with an announcing shout, “Fukari! I'm home! And we have a guest!”
Both Fukari and Timmy waltz to the door to meet Ronnie, where Timmy notices the new guest while Ronnie and Fukari hug and rub against each other in a happy greeting. Meanwhile, Timmy gives a soft cough and, upon noticing Dawn, he grins at her and introduces himself, “Hi! I’m Timmy Merkel! And you are?”
Upon seeing Timmy directly up close and personal, Dawn breathes in wonder, “It is you! Do you have any idea how much I love your work??” Dawn’s excitement begins to skyrocket at meeting her idol, but Ronnie reminds her, “We still have some work to take care of for you, Dawn!”
“Oh, that's right. It's still a pleasure to finally meet you in person, Timmy!” The doe still shakes Timmy’s hand vigorously out of excitement while Ronnie and Fukari disappear for a quick moment to change clothes. Once they emerge in different casual outfits, Ronnie whistles to them and begins posing to show off in front of them alongside his wife. “So, how do we look?”
Replacing his tribal outfit, Ronnie dons a black sleeveless muscle T-shirt that plainly exposes the outlines of his muscular body, and on his bottom half is a pair of sunburst yellow cargo shorts. He still wears a houndstooth necklace, as opposed to the garnet studded necklace his wife is wearing.
As for Fukari, she swaps out her red tribal outfit for a more casual look, now sporting a red crop top coming above her navel, along with a pair of red casual shorts.
Timmy whistles at them after inspecting their new outfits, and he comments, “For an indigenous married couple, you two sure have great taste in clothing!” He winks at them in further respect, leaving Ronnie to blush and rub his neck, “Aww well, you’re my example I’m learning from and it's paying off nicely.”
“Yeah, I’ll say!” Fukari turns directly to Ronnie and nuzzles him, purring mildly. She reaches under Ronnie's shirt, rubbing his abs softly with the indigenous male lynx encasing his arms around her in return. He plants a kiss on Fukari’s forehead between her ears and nuzzles her in return. “I love you, dear. Now shall we get started?”
Suddenly, an awkward blush colors Fukari's face at the sudden realization that they're still in the company of their guests, but Ronnie didn't seem to mind one bit - he’s used to it. Dawn, however, breaks the silence; she asks a simple question, “So, who are we all riding with?”
“Actually, it can just be you and me for now, Dawn. We’ll be back later on.” Ronnie reminds the doe of her earlier offer on him helping her out, to which the doe hums in remembrance. But at seeing his wife and best friend present, she adds, “The more help, the better! I can certainly use a hand, though!”
“Well then, let’s all go together! The more hands, the better!” Ronnie concluded.
~~~~~The soft purring from the 5.9L V12 of Ronnie's Aston Martin DB9 reverberates throughout the interior where everyone is piled inside. Although the ride is roomy in the front, there is enough leg room in the back for the rear passengers. In the front are Ronnie and Fukari while riding in the back is Dawn and Timmy. They're traveling along Nevada Highway, in range of their reservation.
Along the way, Dawn announces, “We’re just making a quick stop at the local Walmart store just up the road. It's not too far from here.”
“Okay, thanks Dawn! It can't be that hard to spot from here.” Ronnie observed while keeping an eye out for the store.
“I think I recognize it somehow because I’ve traveled this route before.” Timmy recalled suddenly. “The storefront is white with the signature sparkling cup next to a red W. You can't miss it, Ronnie.”
“I think I see it now. Thanks for the advice! We’ll be there in no time!” Ronnie begins to accelerate a bit to kill some time, leaving the quartet to arrive at the store a few seconds earlier than usual.
~~~~~Searching for latex gloves is the easy part; buying them is the hard part. In Dawn's case, Timmy offered to pay for the gloves while he, Fukari, and Ronnie stuck together to stock up on supplies of their own. Then after leaving with their purchases, they head back home to their reservation where Ronnie can personally assist Dawn more freely.
Having changed his outfit, Ronnie is now sporting a red tribal outfit this time, along with matching red wristcuffs and a red headband to suit his look. After receiving mixed reactions and compliments from Fukari and Timmy, Ronnie later accompanies Dawn back to her tribal tent where he can assist her more fully.
Once again with Dawn, Ronnie reminds her, “So you needed my help with something. What did you need my assistance with, actually?”
Dawn points out to the lynx, “There are several herbs I’m trying to gather from some hard to reach spots and with my antlers in the way, I can't reach ‘em.”
“Ohhh, I see. You want me to cut them down so you can reach them better?” Ronnie draws a dagger from a hidden compartment on his loincloth, letting the sunlight kiss the blade.
Dawn nods, “Do what you can. It should make things better for me, hopefully. Though, I wouldn't expect anything less from a warrior.”
Giggling at the flattering comment, Ronnie begins to advance, dagger in hand. “Just point them out to me and I will slice them for you.”
“Mainly over there.” Dawn points out an area located behind her tent that is cluttered with trees and other debris - an area where she usually gathers her surplus. While Ronnie gets to work, decompressing the area, Dawn senses more movement and whirls around to see Fukari approaching in her own red tribal outfit.
“Oh hey Fukari! You coming to help out too?” While Dawn felt relaxed at seeing the female lynx wandering to join her, Fukari just commented with a shrug, “I might. Just coming over to inspect how things are going.”
“Done! I found a whole bunch of herbal supplies! I think these are tea leaves!” Both females jump at Ronnie's sudden exclamation. The male lynx has just finished clearing the area and is now gathering the remains of some plant matter into his sash. Dawn and Fukari rush to meet him but right away, the doe identifies the problem with one simple question. “Ronnie, are you sure those are tea leaves?”
“Yeah, I think so. Why??” Ronnie stops gathering the leaves and Dawn begins giggling to herself, drawing a scowl from the male lynx. The doe eventually relates, “Ronnie, those aren't tea leaves - those are maple leaves.”
“Huh?? They're not??” When Ronnie takes another look at the leaves he’s gathering, he immediately recoils, “Aww man!!”
Dawn just chortles at Ronnie's reactions at his realization while Fukari is left tapping her chin in thought from watching them. Regarding these leaves, Fukari questions Dawn directly, “So Dawn, what do you guys use these leaves for?”
“We use maple leaves for herbal tea and cough drops, but maple leaves aren't the only medicinal plants we use. We also use verbana, lavender, and a whole range of other plants.” Dawn answered in return. “We even use foreign plants - we recently got some lemongrass imported from Switzerland after traveling there on an expedition hike.”
“Do you guys use honey too? That also helps.” Fukari reasoned further.
Dawn squirms at mention of the natural sweetener where she squeaks, “Do I look like a beekeeper? I hate bees!”
“You don't necessarily have to find a beehive to acquire honey. You can buy some from a vendor or something.” Ronnie mentioned while brushing himself off. He’s already removed the leaves he has gathered and is now cleaning himself up. Even Fukari adds in a side note, “There are merchants in the area we can go to for organic supplies. But one day, you’ll have to face your fear, Dawn.”
The doe squirms again and shudders at the thought, already picturing herself in a bad scenario with a beehive. To change the subject, she darts away, briskly marching to a different area behind her tent where she points out a few more hedges. “I found some more actual tea leaves mixed in with those hedges. Can you guys fix them for me?”
While Ronnie obliges and begins working on one of the hedges, Fukari wonders, “You don't have anything to chop those hedges apart?” Dawn shakes her head, leaving Fukari to draw her own dagger and assist her husband, to which she loudly exclaims, “We need a machete for this!!”
Despite the lack of a machete, which Dawn did not have, Ronnie and Fukari manage to clear out the area and help Dawn get her tea leaves. With the tea leaves collected, Dawn thanks the two for their help. “Ronnie, Fukari, I really appreciate your help! Thanks again for your assistance!”
“Fukari and I are always happy to help!” Ronnie replied in satisfaction. “Catch ya later!”
“See ya later, Dawn! Hopefully we'll meet again!” Ronnie and Fukari bid Dawn a farewell and leave, their arms around each other's waists. Dawn watches them leave, staring in admiration at the departing couple. Then with a satisfied exhale, the doe matches back to her tent to begin her own line of work.
