The Pursuer Hound is a large species of canine native to the grasslands of Elysium. Similar in size to an Earth horse, this beast can run down and rip apart even larger prey, such as a juvenile Equirex. Such a feat would be impressive for a solitary hunter, but the Pursuer Hound isn't one... it is a pack hunter.

Pursuer Hounds form packs of up to 10 individuals that conduct coordinated attacks on various prey items. They commonly hunt animals such as Gallop Boars, Tapirunners, and Lagolopes. This makes them, in effect, "fast prey specialists". While they can take down larger and bulkier prey, they typically leave it to the larger and more powerful predators.

Pursuer Hounds are considered to be a hazardous species. As such, it is recommended to stay clear of them if possible. Otherwise, tall trees and armored vehicles are the only way to stay safe around them.
