Just giving my love for the over 8000 watchers I received a while ago!. Yeah I know this was supposed to be posted weeks ago but things just keep getting in the way of it's completion..so now it's more like 9000 watchers ^_^;
But thanks anyways!!
Some art babble you're probably not interested in: I tried a different painting method with this one, both in using colors and not being so lazy with fur. i have a ways to go before I get comfortable but I'd like to have something similar to my inspirations
where only enough of the fur is rendered to give the look... still working on that ^_^;
PS. sorry for being away! ..i still haven't gotten around to checking my submissions <_<;. And I hate nuking them so that's not gonna happen XD

Yay Leyrin! She's my favourite. :3 I really like the darkened corner where the leaves are in shadows, it's an excellent counterpoint to the text. Leyrin's hair and fur look pretty sweet too. I admire that you're always trying to take your art in new directions; you're not content to stagnate like some. Great work.
Damn dude, your painting skills have just been getting more and more awesome! Detinitely keep that up!
Art Jargon: Not sure how much this applies to fur, but I found this blog entry to be extremely useful in controlling how much texture and detail to paint in.

I kinda did. Took a year hiatus from furry art so I could go get better at art :) I still check in from time to time though and see what folks are up to.
I've got that book too but not sure if that particular blog entry is in it. I linked that one specifically because I've found for myself that you don't actually have to paint in a lot of detail, you just have to know where to paint it (The general principle those three artists you mentioned also tend to follow) ^..^

Wow! If plants only were more mobile, think of the benefits - and the horrors they could unleash. This is a really lovely painting and I digg the new method you used in this, I think I can imagine what level you want to take fur-rendering. I saw you wrote that you wanted to make it so that only enough of the fur is shown, I learnt that one gotta think of fur as big chunks and not individual hairstrands. I never understood this untill I observed my sisters cat walking around some week ago, where you could clearly see the "chunks". :P
I am always intrested in art-babble, it is always fun when the artist share his/her thoughts and inspirations. Vera is probably the artist I look up to most here on FA when it comes down to rendering fur, his "Unfinished clop painting" submission is one of my fav of his of how he renders fur.

I'm particularly astonished by how lively (or alive ) this picture loocks ,full of details well placed , just a good balance of strokes ,value and colors .I don't know wich of us inspire the most but I should say this picture is a reference for me as many others you produced lately .And the overall conposition is great .I mean it catch my eyes right when I saw the thumbnail amongst athors .

That's why you're by far one of my top favorite artists. Not only you're insanely talented, but you keep being focused on improving your art. You're getting even better day after day, it's impressive! And yet you're a friendly person, and I respect that. Major props to your watchlist, man! You deserve each one of them, and even more!
Congrats! I love your style and the coloring that you do. You're easily one of my favorite artists on FA.
Also: Man, this thing is huuuuuge! I had to zoom way the heck out just to see the whole thing.
Although, in retrospect I could have just clicked the "Download" link and the browser would have downsized it automatically.
Ah well, hindsight is 20/20 and all that.
