i love Xiz's face in the secon panel XD
and the reason the text looks pixelated is because i do these in photoshop 8x11 and super shrink it so i can post it on FA, while shrinking it the text gets kind of pixelated XD thought i would explain that ^^

Quick tip!: If you ever want to make the text smooth, you can either rasterize the text (right click the text layer and select 'rasterize') or you can merge all the layers into one and then resize. (Ctrl+Shift+E will merge all visible layers)

No problem! Photoshop has a lot of issues with how it likes to work with vector shapes like text, and it has a lot of trouble with resizing them. That's why the text in the comics turns out so hard edged. It's a side effect of Photoshop trying to remove JPEG artifacts that aren't there. Yay, technicalities!

i always sketch it, then i lay out the text so i can make sure the word bubble fit around it :/
but my friend sara just told me how to fix the pixelated issue so i wont get yelled at any more for it yay! =D lol

Good :) Youre doing it right, sketching around text is a good idea. I wish you had windows, I'd send you Manga Studio, you'd have a blast with it

using a higher DPI should in theory fix the pixalation on the text. looks really awesome though. Xizzy's face in pannel 2 XD
