Here's the finished painting, am making a couple of prints for Anime Boston. I may sell the original, I'm not sure.
This is the mate to the werewolf featured in "Painting the Sky with Stars." He's a deep indigo that's near to black. His eyes are a lovely shade of yellow. At the beginning of creation there were wolves, and the world evolved around them.
I'm really happy with the final, the wolf's intent stare came out exactly as I'd hoped. I love the water too. I introduced the warm leaves in the hope to really push the blues in the water and wolf.
11X14 watercolor and mixed media on light watercolor paper.

Thanks! I was so worried XD I remember showing you while it was working, it looked even worse as I progressed until suddenly it just...all came together! I'm not thrilled with the texture in the wolf...but that's one of traditional media's charms so maybe not so bad!
