"The news earlier made mention of a criminal who was stealing blood from others. This worried DogDay, but thought the news as a little crazy. He never thought he would be the target of such a criminal.
Now, standing pinned to the wall, DogDay could only stare into the eyes of his assailant, glowing red with a predatory hunger, yet those eyes also shown curiosity & surprise upon setting eyes on him, even to gently caress his cheek with his left hand. Like, he seemed to know something, knew him. But DogDay take this opportunity to escape, running as fast as he can through the snow back to his dorms. Little did he know, the feline followed."
"It was a shock to everything he thought he knew so far in this world. He met the monster that turned him into CatNap in his past life, Dr. Sawyer, who poked and prodded him while he was unconscious. But he escaped with powers he couldn't imagine having. Yet it came with a cost from his past crimes: A need for blood.
Yet here he was now, staring at the canine that promised to keep the feline safe in his past life, when he simply was looking for someone to feed from. It left him speechless, confused, yet feeling his heart flutter. To see his old friend, so see someone he cared the most, right in front of him. He didn't know he reached for him until his hand was slapped away, leaving him to watch DogDay run away from him. It left a deep wound in his chest, but he understood.
In that moment, CatNap renewed that promise: Wishing to keep DogDay safe, the Smiling Critters safe. If DogDay was here, so were the others. So in that moment, as he followed from the shadows, he saw a purpose to his second chance at life: To protect his friends, and to keep that smile on his Sunshine's face."
