Hey, wait... Four-armed, hermaphroditic lizard-people...
I'm reminded of the Ullerans from H. Beam Piper's novel, Uller Uprising. ( http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/19474 ) Excepting that they were more scientifically accurate herms, much more saurian, and quartz-sweating silicon-based lifeforms. (Also, mostly jerks.) Still, it's damn hard these days to find something that someone hasn't done before, isn't it?
